God’s Church in Vietnam
This picture was taken at beautiful Halong Bay near Hanoi during one of my first visits to Vietnam. Like many touristy spots it is very scenic and serene. But in the crowded cites and remote villages there are people impoverished physically and spiritually and its far from scenic or serene. But in the midst of all the chaos God has raised up a church that is turning the ashes into beauty.
There are hundreds of churches being planted led by zealous lay pastors many of whom have been persecuted and arrested for preaching the gospel. Although not lacking in enthusiasm they are hungry for training since most of them have never had the opportunity to go to a Bible College or Seminary.
It has been my privilege since 1999 to travel there and teach in seminars and conferences to help them become more effective as spiritual leaders. Now I have been invited by the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God to come back for the 7th time to teach a Global University course on Hermeneutics, How to Interpret the Bible.
Without your help it would not be possible for these pastors to be a part of these conferences. Would you please pray about partnering with me again to spread the good news!?
